“My expertise is in helping people achieve unique,
creative environments,” offers Miss Katherine. “To
me, homes are entertainment, and the process needs a director
with a vision. My background in advertising and art has
helped me become a ‘designer with a difference’.
“I
absolutely LOVE working on the interiors of our clients’
homes,” says Miss Katherine. “I think that people’s
homes should have the feel of a grand hotel, where you feel
immediately comfortable though no one has said a word to
you. And overnight guests should have the feeling that something
was added while they were sleeping.
“If
people give us a little latitude, we can create something
quite extraordinary. I love to take the chances that no
one else will take. Sometimes our clients can’t get
a picture of what we have in mind until we physically lay
it out and show them. And when that look of ‘Now I
get it!’ comes across their faces, it’s a very
satisfying feeling.
“Our
clients come to us because they don’t want a run-of-the-mill,
cookie-cutter approach to their homes and offices. They
want what no one else has, and they want it to be, literally,
the ‘best in the west’ and the ‘best of the
west’ ”.
In
2004, Miss Katherine organized an investor group of her
friends and clients and bought out The Arrangement’s
owner. Since that time, she has more than doubled the sales
of the two stores she operates stores in Dallas and Houston.
Clearly,
